The Forum is the largest hall at the AXICA event location at the Brandenburg Gate, accommodating up to 400 participants. As part of the technical modernization plans, a 48 sqm LED wall with the latest OBC (on-board chip) technology was installed at the end of 2024. With 5,440 x 2,520 pixels, it is one of the largest permanently installed presentation walls in an event location in Berlin. The challenge here was to avoid interfering with the existing building infrastructure as much as possible. The large structure consisting of an LED wall and sound system is attached to the floor at only a few anchor points and fixed to existing ceiling anchors, making it a standing, impressive technical structure that is second to none.

The sound system from manufacturer Kling und Freitag sets benchmarks in terms of speech intelligibility and brilliance. Thanks to electronic active beam steering technology, the architecturally challenging structure is now not only a visual highlight for visitors, but also an acoustic one.

The new installation has also been integrated into the QSYS room control system installed in 2023, and various functions such as switch-on and switch-off logic, films at the touch of a button, and the audio volume of the hall can be easily and conveniently adjusted.
